HOW TO STYLE WIDE LEG TROUSERS.
So something I get asked quite a lot is what is the best way to style up some wide leg trousers. If you aren't a crop top lover for whatever reason, some people don't find them as flattering on them or they feel a bit bare or perhaps it's just not warm enough for one or it doesn't fit your occasion. I recently created a look yet again with ILWF and their black wide leg trousers ( see here.) where I styled them up with an everyday shirt and just made it more fitting for the outfit to give me a waist by tieing it up, the two colours went perfect together I feel.
For this look I have created a more elegant day time neutral look with a wide sleeve blouse. I will admit I did feel like a pirate but I wanted a light toned top half to compliment the smokey trousers as anything harsh on that type of colour would just ruin the overall look I was trying to create. Soft tones are perfect for Summer!
I added an oversized belt because the top is quite baggy and I just wanted a more tidy and put together look that was more fitting like the trousers. The key with wide leg trousers is whatever top you wear make sure it is tucked it or it shorter, anything that hangs down and hides your waist is just a big no with these types of trousers, save those tops for skinny jeans!
